Skill update: leather, jewellery, rooftops and native guides
3 October 2026

Recent skilling work has focused on connecting the whole activity: getting supplies, opening the right interface, choosing a quantity and using what you make. The local leather and jewellery flows have now been accepted in playtesting. That acceptance covers those tested routes, not every recipe or related skill.
From tanning to leather armour
Ordinary soft- and hard-leather crafting now connects tanning to sewing. Ellis offers a conversation leading into tanning as well as direct Trade, and the tanning window supports quantity choices. Sewing checks your level, uses thread and awards recipe XP.
This work covers ordinary leather. Dragonhide, snakeskin and the wider Crafting catalogue remain separate tasks. Some regional tanners and dialogue branches are also unfinished.
Furnace jewellery and enchanting
Gold and silver jewellery now use their native production windows, with 48 ordinary recipes, mould requirements, quantity selection and material checks. The Make buttons received a follow-up fix during testing, and the local jewellery flow has been accepted.
Dommik in Al Kharid and Rommik in Rimmington supply moulds. The Al Kharid Gem trader also has baseline gem stock, and both the Gem trader and Dommik have shopping conversations alongside Trade. These shop changes still need client checks; shared stock and changing prices are not complete.
Ordinary jewellery enchanting is connected too, including batch casting and links to supported teleport, recoil and regeneration effects. Exceptional recipes and wider jewellery effects remain unfinished. Dragonstone outputs stay uncharged, and museum knowledge requirements are not bypassed.
Rooftops, stalls and skill guides
The indoor Hosidius fruit-stall route passed local playtesting. Pollnivneach's rooftop circuit also works in the tested route, with follow-up corrections for facing during travel and animations ending before the final movement tile. Those visual corrections still need a fresh client check.
Native skill guides now open from all 23 supported skills. Categories, unlock lists, icons and rune checks use the client's own guide interface. The restarted local playtest was accepted, while some Construction material checks and full layout coverage remain partial. A guide entry does not mean every activity it lists is implemented.
What is still being built
Mahogany Homes has contract, supply and reward work in place, but the complete activity is not accepted. Giants' Foundry still lacks the forging loop needed to reach its later rewards, and paid falconry remains gated. We will announce those separately when their player journeys are ready.
For the current test checklist, visit the playtest guide. Reports about quantities, missing materials, walking away mid-action or logging back in are particularly useful: they help catch failures that a single successful recipe can miss.
