Update notes: travel shortcuts, consumables and fixes
11 September 2026
These patch notes cover the travel shortcuts, consumable handling and bug fixes accompanying the Edgeville and Tribute update. The home layout and daily offering rules are covered in their own feature articles.
Our September release overview already covers the wider skilling, encounter, daily-challenge and launcher release. This follow-up focuses on the changes since that round of announcements.
A clearer route to your next destination
Our first travel update introduced spellbook and jewellery routes. This pass improves how players choose and repeat trips from home.
The Ritual travel interface groups destinations into categories and provides separate spaces for Favorites and Recent destinations. Favorites are saved between sessions, while Recent gives you a quick route back to places you have already visited.
You can open the panel from the Ritual Teleporter at home, and Teleport-last repeats your most recent trip. The home Portal Nexus also connects to the travel system. Wilderness destinations have a confirmation step so the choice is clear before you leave.
The arrival effect has received attention too. Its animation and visual effect play together without adding a channel delay or locking movement after arrival.
The destination list is a travel tool, rather than a promise that every activity at every location is finished. Content coverage continues to grow separately, and the roadmap records that distinction.
Food and potions need to behave consistently
The September skilling post covered making potions and noted that drinking effects and decanting still needed work. This pass advances that consumption side.
Recent consumables work has focused on supported healing and stat effects, eating and drinking timing, potion doses, and the inventory changes that follow each action.
That includes manual potion-dose combination and splitting, preserving stronger existing boosts where appropriate, and preventing repeated clicks from bypassing action timing. Stamina and divine effects are also part of the current implementation work.
This is still a partial system. Remaining work includes protection potions, activity-specific restrictions, some special food effects, and correct timer and state handling across relogs. We are not presenting the current pass as complete support for every OSRS consumable.
Recent bug fixes
The new content has also brought a round of fixes to the interfaces and tools behind it.
- Tribute disconnects: corrected the interface definition that could disconnect a player when opening the altar or Exchange.
- Unresponsive controls: corrected the button-action settings for Close, quantity selection, item selection and review.
- Offering confirmation: protected transactions against changed inventories, repeated confirmation clicks and a daily reset occurring while an offering is being reviewed.
- Stale object state: corrected cases where removing a custom object through the map editor left an old copy or stale selection behind.
- Move and rotation controls: addressed custom-object moves leaving the original behind, and made the altar's diagonal variants work with the editor's rotation controls.
- Preview refreshes: corrected terrain colour values that could block a map-preview update, and cleared obsolete error messages after a successful update.
The object-editing changes are for our development tools. They help us make and test the home reliably; they do not give ordinary player accounts permission to edit the map.
What still needs checking
Live checks are continuing around full inventories, repeated actions and reconnecting with timed effects active. For a report, include the item or destination, the action taken and the result. The roadmap records the remaining scope for each system.
