A new home for Ritual

14 August 2026

Ritual's website has been rebuilt around a simple question: what does a player need to know before entering the world?

The answer is now visible from the first page. You can understand the server, create an account, follow development, check what is playable, and find the client without digging through disconnected pages.

A clearer first visit

The new landing page introduces Ritual through the world itself rather than a list of generic promises. It explains the opening journey, points new players towards account creation and downloads, and gives returning players a direct route back into the game.

Navigation has also been rebuilt around the Ritual identity. The official logo sits at the centre, primary destinations remain visible, and less frequently used links live in a focused menu. The same structure adapts to smaller screens without turning into a wall of links.

Development you can follow

The roadmap is the detailed source of truth. It separates live, partial, and planned work and records the gaps that still need attention. The news journal is the human version: fewer implementation details, more context about why a release matters and what players can test.

Hiscores now have a more competitive presentation, while the market page lays out the future item-trading view that will be fed by real in-game sales. Voting, membership, the store, downloads, playtesting, login, registration, and account management now share the same visual language and clearer next steps.

Faster artwork, fewer interruptions

The new artwork has been prepared in WebP at practical web sizes. Large source images are kept out of the live page path, and below-the-fold scenes load only when needed. Page transitions and hover states have been kept subtle so the interface feels responsive without competing with the content.

This release gives Ritual a proper public home, but it is not the end of the website work. Market data, richer account information, more useful hiscore filters, and clearer playtest feedback will grow alongside the game.

Have a look through the site and tell us where you hesitated, what felt unclear, or what you expected to find next. That feedback is just as useful as a bug report.
