October fixes: alchemy, rewards, chat and the client
3 October 2026

Alongside new content, we have been fixing the small failures that interrupt a session: a spell ignoring equipped gear, movement cutting an animation short, or a reward being vulnerable to an interrupted save. These changes are in the current code, with remaining client checks noted below.
Fire staves and alchemy
Low and High Level Alchemy now recognise 13 supported fire-supplying staff variants. These include ordinary fire staves and lava, steam and smoke battlestaves, with their supported mystic and ornamented forms.
The staff must be equipped when the cast executes. Carrying it in your backpack does not waive the fire-rune cost, and queued casts check your equipment again. Nature runes are still required, and carried fire runes are preserved when an equipped staff supplies them.
Automated checks cover both spells, equipment changes and rune costs. Client acceptance is still pending. Rune pouches, tomes, combination-rune substitution, Twinflame staff support and configurable High Alchemy warnings are outside this change.
Reward recovery and collection progress
Chambers of Xeric reward storage has received work on interrupted saves, reconnects, restarts and conflicting claims. Tests cover inventory and bank collection, full containers and offline recipients.
This improves the reward system under development; it does not make the full raid complete. Encounter controllers, party behaviour, scaling and client acceptance remain open work.
Collection-log notifications have also had a local playtest pass, with unlocked items shown on a separate line. These notifications remain separate from general server announcements.
Clearer announcements and a refreshed launcher
Server, event and personal achievement notices now have consistent labels. Important announcements use the native area above chat, while their full text remains in chat history. Long notices use a shorter above-chat version. Fixed and resizable layouts still need visual checking.
The launcher loading splash now shows the Ritual logo, and the client has received the migrated Ritual login artwork with native fire effects. Fully close and reopen the launcher to pick up available client updates; logging out inside an existing window does not reload the client.
Voting and support fixes
TopG and Top100Arena voting now pass your account ID, avoiding problems with usernames that contain spaces. Provider callbacks are checked before a vote is recorded, and repeated callbacks are guarded against duplicate rewards. Real provider votes and in-game claims still need end-to-end confirmation after deployment.
Support tickets also received a fix to staff updates using their public ticket IDs. If you hit a problem while testing, use support and include what you did, what you expected and what happened instead. The help centre covers common login, download and reward questions.
