Playtest update: player trading, market tools and skilling fixes
13 September 2026

This update brings two days of local playtesting to the public alpha. There is more to try in the Grand Exchange, on the website and across the early skilling routes. These features are still being tested, and your reports will help us decide what to fix next.
A player-driven Grand Exchange
GE offers now match against other players instead of filling instantly. Offers and completed trades are saved, with controls to edit or cancel offers and collect the items or coins owed to you. A quiet market may mean an offer has to wait for another player.
The website market shows recent trades and live offers, with item images, price charts, a browser-saved watchlist and a flip calculator. The new Web Market button beside GE History opens it from the game. Trading still happens in-game; watchlist targets are on-page indicators, not background notifications.
Please try small buy and sell offers, partial fills, cancellation, collection and logging out with an offer active. Include the item, quantity and price if anything behaves unexpectedly.
Smoother skilling
Bird snares now finish their setup animation before the player steps away. Ground Lay is supported too: if you drop a stack of snares, laying a trap uses one and leaves the rest on the ground.
The Gnome course net now plays its climb animation before moving the player to the other side. Draynor's narrow-wall and jump sequences have received movement fixes. Home AFK activities finish the current cycle before responding to a walk-away click.
Bait fishing has corrected sea and river catches and better handling at inventory limits. Starter meat cooking includes beef, rat meat, bear meat and chicken, and player-lit fires now accept cooking interactions. Herblore production has improved boosted-level checks and ingredient/output handling.
Local testers have passed bird-snare setup, the Gnome net, home log and crop activities, bait fishing, pickpocketing and pouches, furnace smelting, and meat cooking on a fresh fire. These passes cover the tested routes, not full OSRS parity for each skill.
Staff capes and chat fixes
Staff capes now have male and female models with corrected draw ordering and trim faces, addressing robes appearing through the cape. Staff capes cannot be traded or sold. Friends Chat rank updates and public-chat overhead handling have also received fixes.
Known issues and what to test next
One Draynor wall-scramble landing appeared to leave the player floating beside the roof. A timing correction is included, but the final visual retest is still outstanding. Please report the obstacle and your position if it happens again.
Puro-Puro and impling catching are not implemented yet. The Hunter catching content available here covers bird snares and classic butterflies. Other roadmap gaps remain visible on the roadmap.
Useful next tests include home shops, pet following, butterflies, gem cutting, amulet stringing, arrow assembly, guild entry requirements, Rune Mysteries and food timing. For any problem, send the action you took, the item or NPC involved, your location and a screenshot where possible.
Fully close and reopen the Ritual client before testing so it loads the updated interfaces and cape models.
